i know your just wondering, but honestly, why do you need to wear eyeliner in a swimming pool? at my summer camp there was a bunch of girls who wore tons of eyeliner. when we went swimming, they STILL wore tons of eyeliner!! if you got one drop of water on them they screamed at you! it was like, seriously, what are you trying to cover up? How bad are you beneath all that?

Is revlon color silk a good hair dye and will it look god on me?
i got the box, and my hair is medium brown, blue green eyes and golden-white sort of skin. i want to make it bring out my skin and eyes. will it make me ghost white? Also the box said permanet but the dye was $3 will it ever fade, or was out? what if it doesnt come out right or looks bad. please let me know.

Well it depends on the color of the dye as well but yes it will fade unless you use a color safe conditioner and shampoo to keep it vibrant and if you really hate it use a product call color oops its sold at most drugstores and will take out all dyes except for henna and ones like blues purples and pinks
i think that with your eyes and skin any color that you like would work on you and dont worry it wont make your skin too pale

i tried this foundation for about 2 months and i would say its a relatively good foundation but not the best. it's pretty thick and hard to blend without a wet sponge. and when it comes to fair people (me) it's hard to get your color. it's either too pink or too yellow.
but it's worth a try. it's different for everyone.

I've tried so many foundations, high end and drugstore brand, but honestly, Revlon Color Stay is probably one of my favorite drugstore foundations.
It covers essentially anything, any zit, and makes your skin near to flawless, it will also cover any freckles. Definitely worth the relatively small amount of money, and you will be satisfied. All my friends/family I know, tried it, and loved it!

It's really good! Especially for a drugstore brand. It really does last as long as you blend it well and set it with a good powder. It has a very smooth, laytex-y feel to it after you apply it. It's not a bad thing, I swear. I would say try it. Definitely. :]

the dry skin one is for dry skin. the oily one is for oily skin. it is usually better to use the dry skin one, because it can adapt to your actual skin conditions. the oily one is for people who have very oily skin, because it can reduce the amount of oil on your skin.

Get Conair. I got one at Target. 1inch. My curls look amazing. They're are so nice. I got a ceramic one. It say it heats up in 30sec, but that's a lie. Like in 2min tops. So while you're brushing your hair or sectioning, it'll be done. I would recommend this curler. And it doesn't even leave your hair smelling burnt!

Dream Matte Mousse is in noway comparable, its absolutely awful. It clogs, its too orange and it made my skin absolutely awful. Revlon on the other hand has an amazing colour range and two choices of the foundation, one for dry skin and one for oily. There's also a lot more product %26amp; coverage. yes. the coverage is AMAZING and it stays on for a max of 14 hours. Plus it matte and very very smooth looking.
Maybelline dream mousse is rubbish it goes blotchy on your face after a while.

I use Maybelline Mineral Power and its natural looking, but not long lasting. I've heard Revlon Colourstay last a really long time, but I hate when you can tell Im wearing foundation, does it look natural? Could I combine it with moisturiser?

As long as it matches your skin tone, I think it'll look natural. One thing to know about this foundation is that it's very very thick. So less is more. If you put on too much, it's going to look really really bad.
You can get more of a sheer coverage with it by stippling it on with a stippling brush - I've also used a flat top brush the same way as the stippling brush and it works fine. The key is to not get too much product on the brush (You can youtube videos on how to do it). It dries pretty quickly, so work on one area of your face at a time - I suggest starting from the outer areas and moving your way in.
You can also try Rimmel's Lasting Finish foundation. It's supposed to last 16 hours and be transfer resistant. I haven't personally tried it, but I've heard really good things about it and it's staying power.

I personally have less problems with chalky looking powder if I set it with a spray like MAC Fix+, or apply it with a kabuki brush and blend the heck out of it. Also, don't use the sponge it comes with. EcoTools makes a really fantastic powder brush, and they're available at most drugstores for quite cheap. Brushes are WAY better than sponges when it comes to powder. They're also a lot more hygenic, because you can wash them and reuse them.
Most drugstores accept returns with a receipt (although checking before you purchase is usually a good idea), so if you try it and decide you hate it, they'll probably give you your money back.

no they are not. aveda do lipsticks that are free from lead and are far more natural than most other cosmetics so if you want a lead free lipstick, i would suggest trying them.

What do you all think about Revlon's products?
I have been following the company Revlon for a few months now, predominantly because the company's stock has taken a beating. This happened because Revlon has lost alot of market share to competitors since the late 90s, and also their attempt to gain market share by selling to older women went bust with its Vital Radiance brand. I'd like to get everyone's opinion here on their products, particularly are there products that Revlon offers that you would only buy from them and not from others like Loreal or Proctor and gamble?What do you all think about Revlon's products?

What Was Your Experience with Revlon Colorsilk's Auburn Shades?
I used the Colorsilk Strawberry Blonde Shade, and it didn't come out nearly as radiant as the box portrays is to be, or how I wanted it to be. People describe my hair as more blonde than red, and my color previous to using this shade was a more raidant red, so I don't understand how it could have turned out so washed out. I'm thinking of giving the Bright Auburn shade a try, but am hesistant about how it'll come out. Since you're going lighter, especially from black (from a box aswell?) I would highly reccomend putting the dye on the black first and give the color a chance to break down and lighten then do your roots. Healthy virgin roots take color differently.

i use the clorstay liquid.....i use the combination oily one and find it doesnt get as oily as normal foundations thought i still use a finishing powder with it.....it provides pretty good coverage...

I have a Revlon now. It is okay. I used to have a hot tools so I got spoiled. The good thing about the Revlon straightener is that it is inexpensive less than $30. If I turn mine up on the highest heat it will straighten ok. It is very durable. I have dropped mine several times. I have tried Revlon's flat ironers and it is ok. The heat doesnt go really high and the revlon flat ironer had broke because one of the buttons were too hard to turn. So I'd say no, Revlon is not second best compared to the chi.
but now i have switched to wigo jade flat ironers and it is inexpensive but the best i have used. I had it for about 5 months now. The heat is good, the buttons work, and it really straightens my hair

Nothing is wrong with the company per say. Their line of make-up seems to be geared more towards the older ladies, and has less choice (color wise and product wise). They need to actively recruit buyers in the younger age ranges, otherwise they will eventually dry up. After all...there is more to this world than brown and black color wise. Ok, I have tried the Sugar Sugar and the Lip Stain. I like the Sugar Sugar, but the stuff is very powdery and the applicator isn't the greatest to use, but the effect is very pretty. The Lip Stain is nice, but the taste of it is mediciney. I haven't tried the Lip Lustre. Now as far as shades for you, you can use any of the Sugar Sugars for the most part. Plum Wicked in the Lip Stain. Shockolate, Sassy Sangria, or Reddish Fetish in the Lip Lustre. I am only gauging this by your description, it would be better if you posted a pic of your skin tone for a better match. Eye and hair color play into the complete look also. Also, go online to Revlon's website, they are offering a $2 off coupon.How are these products from revlon?

EDIT: I should also add that if you are looking for high end, to look for Everyday Minerals brand instead of Bare Escentuals brand products. Bare Escentuals tends to break people out, and since you clearly have sensitive skin right now... Its just far too pricy only to find out you cant wear it.
The powdered makeup like bare escentials and truminerals might not bother you. They are all natural.

I have dark brown hair, planning for some dark blonde/caramel highlights. Hoping to get it done in a salon but if its to expensive or i need a top-up later, which would you recommend? i switched to hip creamliner by loreal. and i got mine from walgreens on bogof, 11 for 2 liners. im still so happy about it. :)
the stay power is the same with colorstay. but i like it better because it's creamy and is easier to put on. i use my own eyeliner brush not the one that is provided in the box. but yeah, i love my hip creamliner.

If nottttt, I've found you can buy any cheap like dollar store pencil and burn the tip with a match then you let it cool down and when you apply it, it stays on almost forever [not as long as my gel liner %26lt;3 ] But I've never tried this with anything over 3 dollars as they should already stay on pretty well by themselves (:

i switched to hip creamliner by loreal. and i got mine from walgreens on bogof, 11 for 2 liners. im still so happy about it. :)
the stay power is the same with colorstay. but i like it better because it's creamy and is easier to put on. i use my own eyeliner brush not the one that is provided in the box. but yeah, i love my hip creamliner.

Ash colors have a cool undertone (blue or green as a base) and on freshly bleached hair tend to pull up that color, leaving a greyish or greenish hue to the color....after hair is lightened it often has brassy tones to it (orangy or goldish or reddish) which makes it more difficult for someone who isnt a liscenced haidresser to determine what color to use to acheive the desired result...I reccomend going to a stylist for a drastic change...but if you INSIST upon doing it at home, use a light neutral brown....because bleached hair will often end up one shade darker...and a neutral base is you're best bet in avoiding a huge mishap...this should get you as close to what you want as can be done at home without a professional stylist...just so you know, you really should get this done professionally, its an accident waiting to happen, but if you wont do that, follow my advice

Should i get a high end brand foundation brush? or keep this Revlon one from wal mart?
it seems like the brush i have takes up too much product, and the bristles get so clumped together after one use
or is that normal?

I would try Essence of Beauty Brushes from CVS (: They're really HQ brushes %26amp; come with many types of brushes for a very low price compared to the Brand Name Expensive Brushes.

Most people say that you should probably spend more money on foundation because it's on your whole entire face for the most of the day, where as you can skimp out on mascara and eye liner. However, try using a sponge to apply your foundation, if that doesn't help than, maybe a new foundation...
I used the same brush and never thought anything of it untill about 2 wks ago when i went to a Mary kay make over and used their brush colletion i never new a simple brush could make that much difference. It is worth the money and i love it. Mary kay is great. i am a consultant and i am offering a 30% discount on the most expensive item ordered. http://www.marykay.com/kristinedens/defa…

For i do have stretch marks on my legs and i do want to cover up inperfections for swimming but i need it to last through swimming so colorstay active or dermablend?? what will last better any tips for longer lastin?

I've never tried Dermablend. I like Colorstay Active on my face, never tried it elsewhere. It lasts really well on my face, but I don't know if it would hold up to swimming. I can almost guarantee when you towel off, any makeup will come off on the towel. Sorry I can't be more help. Good luck!

It wont make your hair thicker.And it won't make your hair healthier. Not that brand, or any other brand. Don't fall for the hype. It won't damage though, so it is perfectly safe to use.pigment
