Alll permanent colors have ammonia no matter what they say. Colorsilk is a permanent color.





Since you're going lighter, especially from black (from a box aswell?) I would highly reccomend putting the dye on the black first and give the color a chance to break down and lighten then do your roots. Healthy virgin roots take color differently.
Well, you can color them but don't be harsh. Try to learn how to take care of your hair.
