Does anyone know if Revlon cosmetics are tested on animals?

Just wondering....they have some beautiful stuff, but Im deeply opposed to animal testing and I dont want to support a company that takes part in anything like it. Any ideas guys?Does anyone know if Revlon cosmetics are tested on animals?

In 1959, ';The Principles of Humane Experimental Technique'; was published in London defining the concept of animal testing alternatives as the ';Three R's';: Refinement, Reduction, and Replacement. The only viable choice for a true animal rights' supporter is the *Replacement* of animals used in tests; Refinement and Reduction are still viewed as morally wrong.





Revlon Cosmetics was one of the first large companies to fund research for alternatives with a $750,000 contribution to the Rockefeller University in 1979. Several organizations such as the John Hopkins Center for the Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT), the International Foundation for Ethical Research, the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association, and the Soap and Detergent Association followed suit and started their own programs to validate alternatives.





Many companies have tested their cosmetics on animals. But, the protests lodged by the animal rights activists鈥?has had its鈥?impact as many companies have stopped testing their products on animals. Avon was the first company to stop testing their products on animals. Major companies like Boots, Yardley and Revlon have also made claims that they have stopped testing their products on animals.Does anyone know if Revlon cosmetics are tested on animals?

Don't buy Revlon, buy Avon.





Avon doesn't test any products on animals, you can get anything you need, from ';el cheap-o'; to top of the range and if you buy Avon products you are supporting Avon Ladies like ME :D
One site says they do, on their fragrances.

I don't think so ....animal's skin is different than a humans
i have heard that not on cosmetics but sometimes fragrences, only 2 check 4 allergies... use like NYC or Wet n' Wild if ur going inexpensive but clinique is the best for expensive-er
